Brooklyn's Newest Ponzi Guy Is a Regular Joe

Philip Barry may be Brooklyn's Bernie Madoff, but a lot of the people he ripped off still stand by him. According to the Daily News, even Michael Long, boss of the state Conservative Party,who lost $15,000 with Barry, but bears no hatred. "I don't think he's a crook," Long said. "I think he really felt that he was investing wisely and making money for people."

Barry has filed for bankruptcy, but he's not charged with any crimes -- yet.
