Snow, Sleet, Freezing Rain in Brooklyn on Monday

The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Storm Warning for NYC on Monday, with snow, ice and rain predicted. Accumulation will be 2 to 5 inches of snow topped by a slick layer of ice.

The snow will fall all Sunday night (early Monday a.m.) but will turn into icy rain around rush hour. A "wintry mix" will start back up Monday afternoon. It may turn back into snow during the evening.

Watch out for icy driving during the evening rush hour.

Schools: Schools will be open Monday, but field trips are cancelled.

Parking: Alternate Side Parking rules are suspended Monday for snow removal. Parking meters remain in effect throughout the city.

Refuse & Recycling Collection: Refuse and recycling collections will be suspended Monday to allow for snow clearing operations.
